I get excited when I see a DHL truck pull up, with a box for me from Italy. I get excited because I know it is another order from Graphistudio and some client is going to be happy.
For Frances and Ian, I went with a green and white color scheme that echoed the colors of their flowers and cake decoration, as well as the fact this was a July wedding. The couple is devout in their Catholic faith, so the cover of the studio box (every album should have its own box) was done on white leatherette, printed in a sage green, and containing the Bible verse: And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.
The album - Graphistudio's Original Wedding Book - was done in leather, using a sage green leather for the front, with a custom design printed in white. The spine and back of the book was done in white leather.
For the pages, I had the lab print their images on Canon deep matte paper. It has a soft, velvety surface that repels finger prints and makes the album wonderfully tactile.
I very much enjoy putting together the albums for my couples, from layout of the pages to cover design to the selection of materials. I want their album to be their first family heirloom and so it is important to me that it be unique and customized for them. They get to make any changes they want before it is sent to print.
Believe in print. Don't let your images sit on a hard drive.
