Sophia and Robert - Wedding Album at High Point Farms

I want to try something a little different by posting album pages of a wedding album that I designed using images from, Sophia and Robert’s wedding at The Barn at High Point Farms in Flintstone, Georgia. It was glorious, with a lovely couple getting married in an outstanding location. They are a fun couple who made my work easier - and a lot more fun, too! Sophia and Robert had thirteen bridesmaids and thirteen groomsmen, which meant the energy level was through the roof! And the fact that a number of Robert’s groomsmen were firefighters added some heat to the mix. What a great time I had!

Kudos to venue owner Margie and her crew, who were helpful and professional at all times, and I would welcome being able to photograph here again.

But an album is not just a collection of images. They should be designed to tell a story. The layout is important. I work to make sure the eyes have a place to rest by varying the number of images and by the use of negative space. Too many images and cluttered backgrounds can be confusing.

I always include an album as part of my deliverables. The wedding album is, after all, a couple’s first family heirloom. I want them to have something that will survive a hard disk crash or digital media obsolescence. And besides, who wants to curl up on a winter’s night with a thumb drive? Believe in print!
