YOUR FIRST HEIRLOOM
If the photos are the lasting items from your wedding day, they deserve to be displayed in something unique and wonderful. Your wedding album will be truly unique because each one is customized to reflect who the two of you are and what made your day your own.
Your wedding album will be handmade by Graphistudio, a print lab located just north of Venice, Italy offering Old World style craftsmanship. I have looked at a number of print labs, and in my demand for quality for my clients, Graphistudio delivers. I provide a choice of two of their designs: the Original Wedding Album, which offers a more traditional feel, and the Young Book, offering a sleek and contemporary look. Both albums come with a custom keepsake box that protects your album and is also customized for you.
Many print labs offer a limited selection of cover materials and generally allow only foil stamping and imprinting in a few fonts. So, you choose the white leather with your names and date foil-stamped in a gold foil - as do thousands of other couples. With its wide variety of materials and the freedom it allows in design and printing, with Graphistudio I can garauntee, no one else will have the same album as yours. No one.
DO I GET TO SEE WHAT MY ALBUM LOOKS LIKE BEFORE IT’S PRINTED?
Of course! After delivery of the wedding images, I will send you a preliminary design for your wedding album. I do this because it helps you to have at least a starting point to work with, and see how your favorite images will fit into the design. The albums are designed to flow and tell a story, not just place a myriad of pictures on every page. To do this, I make use of negative space, panoramas, and multi-image spreads. Ultimately, however, you get the final say and will be able to review the interior and exterior designs before it is sent to the craftsmen in Italy.
LET’S TALK about it
LUCY AND ANDREW
Lucy and Andrew were married at the Swann Plantation in Sevierville, TN that featured a 200-year-old plantation home and barn, which inspired the selection of the Original Wedding Album. In a nod to the architecture of the venue, the album was covered with a wood cover, on which the couple’s names and wedding date were printed in colors found in the bride’s bouquet and her chosen decor. A light mocha leather was used for the spine and backing for the album. The box was done in a similar, but darker, toned mocha leather and overprinted with a lace design that mimicked the design found on the bride’s wedding dress. A quote from the New Testament reflecting the couple’s shared faith is on the exterior of the keepsake box.
frances and ian
Frances and Ian were married in the historic church of St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows, the first Catholic Church built in Tennessee, located in downtown Nashville. Both tradition and faith were important to them, so the Original Wedding Album was used. The album was designed using a green leather cover - green being the color of fidelity - with a white leather spine and backing. A white filigree design was repeated on the album cover surrounding the couple’s name and wedding date. The keepsake box was crafted from a smooth leatherette with a stylized quote from the New Testament, with a dusty rose ribbon thatwas one of the colors found in the bride’s bouquet. The album is printed on Canon HD Deep Matte Touch paper, giving a tactile factor with its velvet-like feel.
SHEA AND AUSTIN
Shea and Austin had a sophisticated night time wedding at the Waterhouse Pavilion in downtown Chattanooga, which fit best with the more modern Young Book. The album was done in white leather featuring the couples’ names and wedding date in a signet design and printed in a dark blue to match the hinged keepsake box. The Young Book box has a unique design feature - an area right inside the cover of the box where an image can be placed. The keepsake box was done in a midnight blue leather to recall the night sky on the night of the wedding, with a star field above an outline of the Chattanooga skyline. The orange ribbon reminds the couple that theirs was an autumn wedding.
