Movement

A longtime model with whom I have collaborated in the past, Sierra, asked me for some “boudoir” pictures. I told her we would do it, but I wanted them to be tasteful and I wanted them to look “painterly,” something more in a Renaissance style. I also wanted them to express movement, even though they remain two dimensional images.

So, keep it simple is my motto. Knowing I had not yet photographed anyone using a backdrop from Franklin Backdrops, I found some flowing, gauzy material in a tone similar to the backdrop.

And . . . we just played. And I think these show, you don’t need to go for an elaborate setup. The human body is a beautiful canvas as is. YOU are a beautiful canvas!
