GO IRISH - Even the Coronavirus Can't Stop the Class of 2020

Jane Walker, Dean of Students, cheering on a car of seniors

Last night, the graduating seniors of Knoxville Catholic High School were honored with a parade on the school campus. The kids decorated their cars and trucks - and, in one case, a toy Jeep - to drive onto campus and get cheered by members of the faculty and their families.

You know what? I hope this becomes a tradition even when there is not some pesky virus uprooting what was done before. It was a happy, spirited event and who doesn’t love a reason to make a sign or decorate a car?

We need more of this in the world. And the good news is that I hear graduation is not cancelled, but merely delayed until June. This is good: young people need this recognition.

Enjoy more scenes!
