Portrait Session: Mack

Mack reminded me of Calvin from the comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes.”

He had that same energy and was simply all boy. He also has never had his hair cut since he was born and doesn’t want it cut. He told me why - it gives him super human powers.

You cannot argue with that.

His mom said that when he wants it cut, she will do it (fortunately, she is a stylist). But until he wants the deed done, it remains long. No problem when he plays basketball with his school’s team - that’s what hair ties are for.

So enjoy these portraits of this modern day young Samson.

Here is my prime rule when photographing children: let them just be kids. There is more than enough time for sitting and “behaving,” don’t you think?
