Firecracker: Renae and Nick

Why firecracker?

Because frankly, that is the best way to describe Renae, the lovely bride.  She is a firecracker, she is the rocket that travels fast and burns bright.  I know that also carries with it the idea that she is volatile, but better that than boring . . . and she is far from boring.

But the world has a yin and yang.  According to Sir Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  And so to Renae’s flame there is Nick’s cool presence – no, not docile but chill.  Quiet.  Confident.

In short, a pair well matched.

As a wedding photographer, more than photographing people I enjoy meeting and getting to know them.  Renae and Nick proved that they are not your average couple and had a gorgeous wedding at The Views at Sunset Ridge this past Autumn.  As its name suggests, this venue provides knockout views but I also like the unique tiered structure of its building with a main hall at ground level, a second floor that could easily accommodate a cocktail hour, and a dining area at its top that provides nearly 360 degree panorama of the surrounding area while you dine – and the main hall is flipped to become the reception area.  And by far, perhaps THE best area for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready with plenty of room.  The ceremony was beautiful in its fall setting atop a high ridge and the dance floor was lit.

And why wouldn’t it be?  Firecracker!

Join me now in looking back at a great wedding.
